RJR Technologies at Laser World of Photonics

Sven Knippscheer and Marco Koelink from RJR Technologies attended the 2025 Laser World of Photonics, held in Munich from June 24–27. With a record 1,398 exhibitors and over 44,000 visitors from 74 countries, the event reaffirmed its position as the world’s premier trade fair for photonics. Key themes included integrated photonics, biophotonics, and AI-enabled manufacturing. The co-located World of Photonics Congress featured more than 3,000 presentations—including talks by two Nobel laureates—underscoring the event's scientific and industrial significance.
RJR was proud to showcase its newly released 14-pin butterfly and 40-pin PIC packages, both designed for high reliability and cost-effective manufacturing.
During the show, Sven and Marco engaged with multiple prospective customers who expressed strong interest in our liquid crystal polymer (LCP) packaging solutions and B-stage epoxy coated components. Several custom opportunities were also discussed, particularly where air-cavity, high-reliability, and low-cost packaging is required. Targeted applications included LiDAR, 3D sensing, and high-power diode modules.
Given the quality of engagements and market relevance, we are actively considering exhibiting at next year’s event to further expand our visibility and customer reach.
